Patricia A. Van Kley, PhD — Fort Meigs Wellness & Behavioral Health

Patricia A. Van Kley, PhD

Patricia A. Van Kley, PhD is a licensed psychologist with over 40 years experience in private practice, residential, community and academic settings. She earned her Master's degree in rehabilitation counseling from Bowling Green State University and her PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Toledo. Her areas of expertise include treatment of depression and anxiety disorders, stress related conditions, chronic illness, coping with loss and life transitions and caregiver support.

Patricia is certified in mind-body medicine by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine (https://cmbm.org) and is one of their senior faculty. She facilitates the mind-body skills group at Fort Meigs Wellness & Behavioral Health.  

Patricia developed and taught a course entitled “Mindfulness, Meditation and Health” for Saybrook University. Some of her work for CMBM includes a hospital-wide training in mind-body medicine for clinical and support staff at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, a training for tribal and school leaders at Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota and a training for teachers and community leaders in Parkland Florida following the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas School shooting.

 
Michael Roehrs, MSW, LISW-S, DCSW — Fort Meigs Wellness & Behavioral Health

Michael Roehrs, MSW, LISW-S, DCSW

Michael Roehrs holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina.  He is certified as a Diplomat in Clinical Social Work. He is licensed as an Independent Social Worker with supervisory endorsement and has over forty years of experience as a clinical social worker.

Michael utilized a solution-oriented approach to helping individuals and families find resolution to life's challenges. He enjoys working with teenagers and adults who are experiencing difficulty in copying. These challenges may include dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress management, ADD/ADHD and work-related issues. Michael has completed extensive post-graduate training in couples and family therapy and in the behavioral management of chronic pain and chronins and end stage illness. In addition to his clinical work, Michael has provided consultations to family businesses and larger corporations on resolving employee issues.

 
Barbara E. Metcalf, LISW, ACSW, MSW — Fort Meigs Wellness & Behavioral Health

Barbara E. Metcalf, LISW, ACSW, MSW

Barbara Metcalf is a licensed independent social worker. She obtained her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan. She has practiced in the Toledo area for over thirty years. She has experience in individual, family and group therapies.

Her specific areas of specialization are change of life issues (relationship, health and grief), LGBT issues, and helping people manage mental health issues including anxiety, depression and ADHD/ADD. Barbara is clinically trained and uses a holistic approach, working with the mind, body, and spirit in helping people maximize functioning and obtain a balanced quality of life.

 
Jean Cook, LPCC-S — Fort Meigs Wellness & Behavioral Health

Jean Cook, LPCC-S

Jean Cook is a licensed independent clinical counselor with supervisory status. She graduated with her master’s degree in counseling from the University of Toledo and completed post-master’s work at Heidelberg University. Jean uses cognitive behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral play therapy with children. She received specialized training from Rutgers University in the area of adoption disruption.

Jean works with all ages from preschoolers through adulthood. Her areas of expertise include dealing with child abuse and neglect, adoption and foster care, issues related to childhood sexual abuse and posttraumatic stress disorder.

Jean has also worked with Rahab’s Heart and the Lucas County Human Trafficking Coalition in the identification and rehabilitation of youth and adults who are victims and survivors of sex trafficking.

 
Lacey Wesche, MSW, LISW — Fort Meigs Wellness & Behavioral Health

Lacey Wesche, MSW, LISW

Lacey is a licensed independent social worker with experience working with children, adolescents and families. She has over 10 years experience in community, residential, and private practice settings. Lacey earned her Master of Social Work degree from Eastern Michigan University.

Lacey enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults in the treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders, grief and women’s issues including dealing with infertility. She has an extensive background and training in working with survivors of abuse and the treatment of PTSD. Lacey utilizes a solution-focused approach including mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and family therapy.
 

 
Annette Clark, LPCC-S — Fort Meigs Wellness & Behavioral Health

Annette Clark, LPCC-S

Annette obtained a Master of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University and has worked in the mental health field for over 26 years. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with supervisory endorsement. Annette has a vast amount of experience with both adults and youth providing individual, couples, family, and group counseling.

Annette is passionate about helping others understand and learn to cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, life stressors, and family issues. She approaches treatment from a holistic perspective and uses strength based, cognitive behavioral, solution focused and mindfulness techniques to help you reach your goals. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and is trained to work with first responders.

 
Caitlin Bayer, LPCC — Fort Meigs Wellness & Behavioral Health

Caitlin Bayer, LPCC

Caitlin is a Licensed professional Clinical Counselor.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Toledo and Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Bowling Green State University.  She has extensive experience providing group and individual counseling services to individuals with varying backgrounds and present concerns.  She has thorough training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and is a Certified Cognitive Enhancement Therapy Coach.

With an emphasis on wellness, Caitlin concentrates on each individual as a whole.  She believes in the importance of self-care, individuality, the connection between the mind and body and establishing a positive and trusting rapport with each individual she serves.  Caitlin practices with a strengths-based approach, and encourages others to embrace their uniqueness and explore new perspectives on life.
